Professional field/official position/biography:

Russian radio and TV presenter, propagandist.

Born in 1980 in Leningrad (now – Saint-Petersburg). After school, she entered the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation at the Faculty of Management, but did not graduate from it. In 2009 she moved to the UK. In 2010 she graduated from the Sotheby's Institute of Art in London, a course in contemporary art. In 2014 she moved to Moscow.

Since 2011, Baranovskaya has been the host of the Russian Maslenitsa festival in London three times (2011, 2012 and 2014). In 2014, she began her career on TV and radio. In particular, she took part (as a host or in other roles) in shows on TNT (“What Men Want”, “Reboot”), “Russia-1” (“Girls”), “Channel One” (“Male / Female ”, “Fashionable sentence”, “Ice Age”, “Female rebellion”), “Russian Radio” (“Everything is for the better”). In addition, she continued to be the host of mass events. In particular, in 2018 she hosted the festival Russian Fitness Fair, organized by Azerbaijani singer Emin.

Divorced, has three children.

Accused of:

Propaganda of the aggressive and predatory war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

Like many "celebrities", Baranovskaya did not remain aloof from participating in various "parapolitical" initiatives of Vladimir Putin's regime. In particular, as part of the Kremlin’s project to create and “promote” the pseudo-opposition, “fake” political party New People for the “elections” to the State Duma in September 2021, Baranovskaya played the role of a “recognizable person” to promote this party, joining into it in July 2021.

During the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, she became the curator of the propaganda project “Women of Donbass. Stories of the Strong” within the framework of the project “Everything for Victory” of the Putin movement All-Russian Popular Front (ONF). In September 2022, as part of this activity, she visited the territories of the Ukrainian Donbas occupied by Russia, which resulted in a propaganda material in the Russian media about “atrocities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” and “Russian humanitarian aid to civilians ”.

On September 30, 2022, she took part as a host in a rally-concert on Red Square dedicated to the annexation of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions under the slogan “The choice is made! Together forever! ".

Based on the foregoing, Yulia Baranovskaya can be confidently categorized as a propagandist glorifying and justifying a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
