On July 14, 2014, December 25, 2014, April 9, 2015, and May 13, 2019, he requested the extension of arrest to Ukrainian activist Alexander Kolchenko, accused of participating in the terrorist community (part 2 of article 205.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and committing a terrorist attack (part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The investigation considered as the act of terrorism an arson of the window of the United Russia party headquarters in Simferopol (Crimea) which led to no victim. According to his lawyers, Kolchenko and other defendants were tortured to give a confession.

On September 22, 2014, December 26, 2014, and April 8, 2015, he requested the extension of arrest to Ukrainian filmmaker Oleg Sentsov, accused of creating a terrorist community (part 1 of article 205.4), preparing and committing acts of terrorism (part 1 of article 30, part 2 of article 205, part 2 Article 205), as well an attempt to purchase weapons and explosives (part 3 of article 222, part 3 of article 30, part 3 of article 222). According to the investigation, the attacks were the arson of the doors of the office of the Russian Community of Crimea and the windows of the United Russia party headquarters in Simferopol which led to no victim. According to the defense, Sentsov and other defendants were beaten and tortured during the investigation to give a confession.
