Poland has extended the entry ban for Russian propagandist

At the request of the Head of the Internal Security Agency Poland has extended the entry ban for the Russian “journalist” Leonid Sviridov. In 2015-2020, Sviridov continued his activities for aggressive Russian propaganda aimed at the interests of the Poland.

In December 2020, the ABW applied to the Office for Foreigners to extend the entry ban issued to the citizen of the Russian Federation, Leonid Sviridov. In December 2015, the Russian citizen was entered on the list of persons whose stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland is undesirable.

In the opinion of the Internal Security Agency, the reasons for banning Leonid Sviridov from entering the territory of Poland have not ceased. In 2015-2020, Sviridov continued his activities for aggressive Russian propaganda aimed at the interests of the Republic of Poland, Polish raison d’Etat and the image of Poland on the international arena.

Due to the decision made by the Head of the Office for Foreigners, Leonid Sviridow was banned from entering Poland and the Schengen area until December 2025.

Some Russian journalists are used for aggressive information actions conducted by the Russian Federation against Poland, NATO countries and the West. Poland is one of the main targets of the information warfare waged by Russia.
